Source: Possible Confirmation Of A Returning Character For Transformers 4
So we have a title for Transformers 4 revealed and now its villain. Yesterday, some keen eyed Transformers' fans noticed besides the reveal of the actual title other titles were filed for trademark with the United States Patent And Trademark Office.
One was literally a big honking spoiler. What was it? Why it revealed just who would be the villain in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Oh yes, we know Kesley Grammer will be playing an evil human, but what of the Decepticons? We know a new group of them will be involved, but who will lead them?
Are you sure you want to know the answer to this? One last warning before it's revealed.
Alright spoiler hounds, here it is. The title noted by eagle eyed fans was MEGATRON RETURNS. That's right, for the second time in the Transformers film series Megatron will be brought back to life. How you ask?
Well, it appears the evil humans led by Grammer foolishly are using the head of Megatron. What more confirmation you need? Why how about a leaked picture (posted from TFW2005) from a prop of the Decepticon leader on set?
Now this begs the question if Megatron is returning, does this mean Hugo Weaving will reprise the role? Last year around this time, Weaving caused a ruckus and started a war of words between himself and Michael Bay himself. However, the later's words were taken down. Did he and Weaving patch things up? Who knows but let the speculation begin.
Though hopefully if it is true that Megatron's showing in the movie will be better than his last outing with this being his crowing moment from the movie before it quickly went downhill for the character:
