DC Comics announced new creative teams for Superboy and Supergirl on their blog today, including fan-favorite writers Marv Wolfman and Tony Bedard. In an unprecendented event, The Outhouse doesn't see anything to make fun of here (we're even gonna overlook the Nu-Lobo guest appearance, since that's old news), so we're just gonna show you what the blog said:
Beginning with issue #26, SUPERGIRL will kick off an all-new arc from writer Tony Bedard and artists Yildiray Cinar and Ray McCarthy. Following the stunning conclusion of “Krypton Returns,” this first issue centers around Supergirl arriving back on Earth with a new mission and a clearer understanding of her place in the universe. But a striking new foe prepares to welcome Supergirl home: Lobo! What could this mysterious new character want from Kara?
Meanwhile, SUPERBOY #26 marks the first issue from the new creative team of writer Marv Wolfman and artist Andres Guinaldo. This first issue, which will be co-written by Frank Hannah, finds Superboy lost in time with the Teen Titans as he comes to some startling revelations about both his origins and his future. Can he and the team rescue Kid Flash and find the way back to their own era?
Is this the start of a new era of prosperity and non-stupidity at the belaguered DC Comics? Only time, and the counter, will tell.
