Source: Don't Install Grand Theft Auto V's Xbox 360 "Play" Disc
Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) doesn’t come out until tomorrow, September 17, but that hasn’t stopped
people from blaming it for today’s naval yard shootings Rockstar Entertainment from reminding many of us why we bought PlayStation 3s.
@mfw For optimal performance, we recommend not installing that disc. We will have more info on our Support Site at launch.— Rockstar Support (@RockstarSupport) September 16, 2013
Since I am not that big of a gamer and don’t have an X-Box, I’ll just quote IGN and hope it makes sense to people who know about these things:
“Grand Theft Auto V comes on two 8GB discs on Xbox 360; the first is a mandatory "install" disc, while the second is the "play" disc. While you'll have to install the former (as you might have guessed), the studio has warned against trying to do the same for the latter as it'll negatively impact how the game runs.”
They even have a nifty video on how not to install a disc.
So, there’s that to look forward to.

RU, or as he’s known in the writers’ room: the cute one, is relatively unappreciated in his time. RU’s YouTube show, RUviews is watched by literally multiple people every month and his Outhouse articles have helped line many a bird cage. Before you send RU a message, he knows that there are misspelled words in this article, and probably in this bio he was asked to write. RU wants everyone to know that after 25+ years of collecting he still loves comic books and can’t believe how seriously fanboys take them. RU lives in Akron Ohio (unfortunately) with WIFE, ‘lilRuRu, and the @DogGodThor. You can also find him on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, & even Google+ (if anyone still uses that).
