Source: Kelsey Grammer Joins Beefcake Brigade in ‘The Expendables 3′
Deadline is reporting that the actor is in talks for a role in the movie originally intended for Nicholas Cage. He would be playing a former mercenary who just so happens to speak German, thus proving that no one who speaks German could ever be an evil man. This is also the second time Grammer has got himself into a film series by the third film. He was cast and one of two bright spots in X3: The Last Stand (2006). Will lightning strike again?! When asked about being cast for the role, Grammer had this to say:
And just look how happy he is.
No word yet if his arch-nemesis, the common rake, will also feature into the movie resulting in Grammer being hoisted on his own petard. Regardless, if his nemesis is not cast; Grammer will be joining a VERY illustrous cast that includes: Sylvester "$400 for an Autograph" Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Wesley Snipes (WRITERS NOTE: a Demolition Man reunion with Snipes and Stallone? I'm there!).
Expendables 3 will be out sometime next year, so audiences shall see Grammer woo us to heaven, before Michael Bay sends us to hell with Grammer cast in the lead human villain role in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Until then let us reminisce with Grammer against his oldest, yet greatest of foes: THE RAKE!!!
