For a soulless, corporate mega-site, they were actually pretty okay.

Suddenly and without warning this afternoon, popular geek culture blog MTV Geek shuttered it's... um... browser windows, posting the following message in a blog post titled So Long and Thanks for All the
Friends and fellow geeks — We're shutting up shop and heading to the great arcade in the sky.
Our friends over at MTV News will provide continued coverage of ComicCon, your favorite geek movies, video games and more. Thanks to everyone for the great run.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
We know that, far up the chain of command, MTV Geek was owned by evil multimedia conglomerate Viacom, but, despite that, they still managed to have "personality" and often a sense of humor, which, really, is all we ask for from a blog. The Outhouse staff read it on a regular basis, and we're sad to see it go. Good luck to their writers, who we're sure will land on their feet.
If any of the bloggers there need to get the word out about where you're heading next, or if you want to talk a bunch of shit about the industry under a pseudonym (which is really cathartic, trust us), shoot us a tweet @TheOuthousers.

Jude Terror is the Webmaster Supreme of The Outhouse and a sarcastic ace reporter dedicated to delivering irreverent comics and entertainment news to The Outhouse's dozens of loyal readers. Driven by a quest for vengeance, Jude Terror taught himself to program and joined The Outhouse. He instantly began working toward his goal of forcing the internet comics community to take itself less seriously and failing miserably. A certified trash eater ruining the pristine field of comics journalism with his sarcasm and goofiness, Jude Terror is secretly friendly and congenial, so if you've got a complaint, why not just bring it up to him instead of subtweeting like a jackass, jackass? You can find him on Twitter or try your luck with an email, but keep in mind that he is notoriously unreliable and may not get back to you right away. Unless you want to send him free stuff, in which case he'll get back to you immediately.
