Though geeks can spend a lot of time involved in Fantasy Worlds, we are too aware that bad things can and do happen in the real one. On September 25th Kathleen Morphew was involved in a horrific car crash in South Carolina that sent her to the ICU. Thankfully, Kathleen survived that perilous period and is now recovering from her injuries. Sadly, Kathleen’s injuries were not the only tragedy from this accident, as her mother Brenda was killed during this incident. In order to help with the Medical and Bereavement Expenses, friends of Kathleen set up a fundraiser through Indiegogo just this past Monday. As of Press Time, the efforts have raised more than 6 times of the original $500 goal.
Despite not being friends with Kathleen, Anime Jam Session reached out to The Outhouse to help get the word out for this cause. With all of the effort that’s been given to raise awareness throughout Social Media, I am honored to be doing a small part in helping her get back on her feet. Even if you don’t contribute, forwarding the link below will be greatly appreciated.
The Outhouse is sponsored this week by Late Nite Draw. Recently featured on ComicsAlliances' Best Art Ever, he is a Chicago-based commissioned artist with a self-published Digital+Print one-shot coming out in October about the abominable snowman called ABOBAMANIMABBLE, and is also available for commissions. Check out some amazing art by clicking here or by clicking the banner at the top, and support the people who support The Outhouse.
