Last week, we discussed the probable cancellation of ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. after viewership for the show dropped a whopping 38%. However, ABC sent out a press release today explaining where all those viewers went. ABC announced that an additional 3.41 million viewers had viewed the show on DVR, bringing the total number of viewers who watched last week's episode up to 12.07 million viewers. Comparatively speaking, the pilot episode saw 3.7 million viewers watch the show on DVR.
So basically, instead of losing 30% of its audience, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. only lost 25%. ABC is pushing hard for the show, and even sent out a convoluted press release explaining how the DVR numbers were a win for the show, so it doesn't look like the company has abandoned the show like the Outhousers' forum. We'll keep you updated on how terribly the show does tomorrow.
Our friends at Nix Comics are sponsoring The Outhouse this week. Show them you appreciate it by checking out their comics. One dollar from every Nix Comics sold this month will go to Kirby-4-Heroes.
