Fred Van Lente has been named as the new writer for Dark Horse's Conan the Barbarian, replacing Brian Wood, who will be leaving the series with issue #25.  Van Lente will be adapting the Robert E. Howard story "The Snout in the Dark', presumably in the same manner that Wood adapted and expounded upon "The Queen of the Black Coast".  In an interview with CBR, Van Lente stated that his run on the title will also deal with some of the aftermath of Wood's run, which ends on a "Red Wedding" type of note.
