Dan Slott wants you to swear allegiance to one Goblin under God with 'Goblin Nation.'

Source: NYCC EXCLUSIVE: Slott's "Superior Spider-Man" Must Face the "Goblin Nation"

At the NYCC Spider-Man panel today, fiendish criminal mastermind, Professor Dan Slott, revealed the next phase of his long running malevolent opus, Superior Spider-Man, with "Goblin Nation."

Slott proclaimed that we've been seeing the dominoes he's been setting up with the Green Goblin and his gang, and those dominoes are finally going to fall in Superior Spider-Man #27. "Green Goblin on this side. Doc Ock/Spider-Man on the other side. It's all been leading to this."

Slott then whipped out a Spider-Man 2099 figure and pulled it's head off, leading to several fans passing out and screaming, "PLEASE NO MORE!! Isn't one Spider-Man enough for you?!" The only answer fans got was a mischevious crackle from Slott.

When asked about the whereabouts of Norman Osborn, whose body went missing in Amazing Spider-Man #697, Slott had this to say: "We have yet to see who's the current Green Goblin. We have not lifted up that mask yet." With so much Goblin talk, Slott let slip that there would be the birth of a new Goblin during #20-21.

When it came ot fan questions no one dared asked if Peter Parker would be returning, but one fan asked if any more alternate universe Spider-Men would appear in Superior in the upcoming months. Slott told him to keep reading before eruptting into an evil laughter and proclaiming, "YES AND THEY SHALL BE SLAIN AT THE HANDS OF MY SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN CRUSHING YOUR DREAMS AND DRINKING YOUR DELICIOUS TEARS!! MWHAAAA IT'S SO GOOD BEING BAD!!!!" Okay he didn't say that, but fans at the panel were probably thinking he would.

Not soon after, Slott gave an interview with CBR (obviously since this reporter wasn't there) to talk about and tease "Goblin Nation" more. Slott started off saying #26 will be the prelude to the story, with two major Spider-Man characters having a throw down. He also promised something will happen between Spider-Man and the Avengers.

Along with these bits, Slott teased something that will happen in Superior Spider-Man #19 that'll make fans mystified before getting an answer in #26. Slott talks more in his interview with CBR, who don't bother asking him if the story will feature more than just the Goblins the Green Goblin has under his control (Menace, Phil Urich, and this "new" Goblin). Seriously, will Heisenburg.. er Harry Osborn appear? What about the Hobgoblin? WILL THIS BE THE FIRST TRUE GOBLIN WAR?! (WRITERS NOTE: "Goblins at the Gate" or the Amazing issue with Harry vs. Jason Macendale doesn't count)  WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK HIM THESE QUESTIONS CBR?!  Instead they ask him about the history of the Green Goblin and how Doctor Octopus would joyfully gloat that he's overstepped the former as the greatest Spider-Man foe of all!

At least CBR has this nice spiffy cover to Superior Spider-Man #27 in their interview:
