Over the past few years, Marvel Comics has developed and perfected a signature style of teasers, consisting of a mostly black background and one or two cryptic words hastily photoshopped with simplistic gradient effects. While the teasers might seem like a simplistic and annoying waste of time, they are easy and cheap to produce using unpaid interns with rudimentary photoshop skills, so they've got that going for them.
After a pre-New York Comic Con run that spanned twenty teasers for new books and storylines, the comics media thought we might be getting a break, but Marvel began a new series of teasers yesterday with an image featuring the word "MS." in a green gradient on a black background. We thought it might have been a leftover, but Marvel's press email soon started sending them out at an unprecedented rate. We have no idea what these might be for, but please post your best guesses in the comments below.
Our friends at Nix Comics are sponsoring The Outhouse this week. Show them you appreciate it by checking out their comics. One dollar from every Nix Comics sold this month will go to Kirby-4-Heroes.
