A comic book blogger is relieved to find that the world didn't end when he neglected to post every teaser Image sent out for Rick Remender's Black Science as a separate article.

Earlier this week, Image Comics began sending out visual teasers for Black Science, the upcoming sci-fi comic written by Rick Remender with art by Matteo Scalera and Dean White. Over the course of the week, Image sent out three of the teasers, each with a vaguely meaningful-sounding catchphrase like "no tolerance for blind obedience" or "to seek hidden truth in forbidden realms..." With each one, Outhouse reporter Jude Terror became increasingly more unnerved, itching to react in the way the 24 hour comics news cycle has conditioned him and post each teaser in articles with headlines like "Seek the Forbidden Truth in Black Science This November!" or "Latest Teaser for Remender's Black Science Swears No Tolerance for Blind Obedience!" Despite his increasing sense of impending doom, however, Terror remained steadfast in his resolve to wait until Image sent out an actual press release about the book and post it all then.
"I mean, heh, what's the worst that can happen, you know?" reasoned a visibly nervous Terror, his eyes darting nervously around as if expecting something terrible to happen at any moment. "Probably, no one will even notice. I mean, you've seen one teaser, you've seen em all, am I right? Heh.
Finally, on Friday morning, Image sent out a press release for the book, allowing Terror to post all of it in one article, making things easier for his readers and avoiding the fifteen or so minutes of extra time he would have spent if he posted a different one every day. Still, it was nice to be done with the anxiety.
"It's just a huge relief," Terror admitted as he hit the "save" button on the story. "It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. I think it taught me that, just because a company sends you an email, you don't have to blindly publish it like some kind of corporate lapdog. You can make your own decisions on what would be the best way to get the message out about the book."
"Follow your heart," Terror added, sharing a little bit of advice for his colleagues in the comics media. "I did, and the world didn't come to an end."
At press time, a giant meteor was hurtling at 20,000 miles per hour in a direct collision course with the planet Earth.
Here's the press release and teasers:
