More on Lex Luthor's role in Superman vs. Batman and More

Will the man with the best haircut in the DCU be able to save us from that murderous alien?

Source: ComicBookMovie

CBM has some exclusive information on Superman vs. Batman, specifically Lex Luthor's role in the story.  Personally, I have no knowledge of their sources, but the particular submitter has been pretty good in the past.  Either way, take this all with a grain of salt if you are the suspicious type.

1 - Terry O'Quinn is not up for the role and never was.

This makes me feel pretty good about making fun of the idea that he was being considered the other day.  They also say that there was interest in James Purefroy for the role, but the actor wanted nothing to do with it.

2. - Lex Luthor is 'the pride of Metropolis'

He's been helping Metropolis a lot as I'm sure there is plenty of rebuilding to do after the events in Man of Steel.  The people love him and even Lois is a fan.  Lex hates Superman however and loves referring to him as an alien.  His motivations come from his belief that Superman is bad for mankind.

3. - Lex Luthor wants to build armor.

Supposedly Lex will be working to recreate kryptonian armor with the science division of LexCorp.  Telling his people "When the world realizes what he truly is, they will need someone to stand up to him." When the scientist ask Lex if he is that someone, he replies, "Is there any other person who can?"

4. - The Flash and Wonder Woman will cameo.

But both are expected to cameo as their alter egos and not in costume.  They also mention that Grant Gustin's Flash from Arrow may continue on into the movie if his appearance in the show is popular.

5. - Bruce Wayne will have a love interest.

And WB really wants to cast an African-American actress for the role.  It's a serious relationship, so much so that she will be aware of Batman's secret identity.  Affleck will be doing readings this week.

So that's the scuttlebutt for the evening, take it as you will.
