Some part of me, deep in my heart, knew this rumor to be false. Out of all the Superman vs. Batman rumors we've run -- (batdrones?) (Rorschach?) (Armored Lex?) (Bald Lex?) (Wonder Woman?) (New Batsuit?) -- this was not one of them. I could not believe Adam Driver was going to play Dick Grayson. Frankly, the guy has a pretty odd look that just doesn't fit for Dick Grayson. My apologies if that sounds shallow, but I'd say the same thing about myself.
In a recent interview, Collider asked Driver about the role and the actor denied being cast. Nightwing may still play a role in the movie, but possibly by the type of pretty-boy actor we expect in our movies. I believe The Wrap originally reported the (now believed false) Driver rumor, so for those keeping score - mark it down.
It's possible, if Nightwing is in the movie, that they could try the same approach they plan to with The Flash and judge the reception the actors get when they appear as the characters on Arrow before deciding what to do for the big screen. Or, if Gus Sterlingham's prayers are answered, they will cast Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
