Marvel's bringing back Moon Knight...again. Marvel has announced a new Moon Knight series, this time written by Warren Ellis, with art by Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire. This will mark the sixth time that Marvel has attempted to bring back the superhero in his own solo series, and the third attempt since 2006.
This time, Ellis plans on exploring "weird crime fiction" with a version of the character that "unifies all the previous takes" of the fractured hero. Ellis will also be returning Moon Knight to New York City, and stripping away the character's issues with multiple personalities, noting that it was an unrealistic take on dissociative identity diseases. Finally, Ellis believes he's cleared up Moon Knight's history with Khonshu, the Egyptian moon god from which he derives his ability.
The new series will launch in March and hopefully will last longer than the last Moon Knight series.
