You will belive a dragon can fly.
Or that he was smashed by a plane like a bug.
Air New Zealand which originates from the home of the Hobbits (New Zealand, where much of Sir Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies were filmed) send out the word that the first clear images of Smaug the dragon will be gracing the sides of one of their aricraft. Smaug's image will span 177 feet across the side of an Air New Zealand Boeing 300-777 jet.
More images were tweeted out via their Twitter account (@airnzusa). Air New Zealand also released a time-lapse video of the making of the themed jet:
The Smaug jet will join another Hobbit-themed jet in their fleet which promoted last year's The Hobbit: A Unexpected Journey. This large image of Smaug certainly looks to dwarf that promotion.
The Smaug-themed jet will fly from New Zealand to Los Angeles, California before The Hobbit sequel's world premiere there, December 2. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug opens to wider audiences in the USA on December 13, 2013.
