Source: Rob Liefeld Praises the X-Force Script
A little while ago we reported on FOX’s announcement of an X-Force movie, and then we, and everyone else, kind of forgot about the whole thing. Well, as it turns out, there are still people in Hollywood who think this movie will get made, chiefly script writer, Jeff Wadlow, whose most recent draft got the thumbs up from the only person that matters, Rob Liefeld:
Every film needs a proper script b4 they can cast&shoot. 1st mission accomplished for X-Force-When the casting begins we can scream together— robertliefeld (@robertliefeld) December 3, 2013
I’m not sure if the script provided wardrobe with any notes, but my guess is that some poor old lady is busy, in a dank basement, sewing pouches on everything while Chinese children are getting the day off since, obviously, this movie won’t be needing any shoes.
Described as the "militant" and "more aggressive" counter part to the X-Men, X-Force was first launched in the early '90s by Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza. The original team consisted of many fan favorite characters including Cable, Cannonball, Domino, Warpath, and Deadpool, but later incarnations have featured Wolverine, Psylocke, Sunspot, and Colossus.
Deadpool wasn’t a member of the original team! He was a villain who wouldn’t become anything other than a poor man's Deathstroke until after Image was founded.

X-Force cast/film will please/appeal to fans of all eras. Wadlow carefully, cleverly navigates the legacy.— robertliefeld (@robertliefeld) December 3, 2013
I approve of this. As I stated in the previous article, I am hopeful that this will be good. It will be nice to see a more militant approach to superheroes on the big screen that isn’t only about “shocking moments” and might, actually, have a plot.
