BILLUND, DENMARK – The gaming world was rocked today when Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games announced that there would be a LEGO video game based on the upcoming LEGO movie. From commingsoon.net (whose site doesn’t seem to allow you to copy text unless you look at the page source. That’s rather annoying if you ask me.):
The LEGO Movie Videogame will bring players into the humorous and action-packed role of Emmet, an ordinary LEGO minifigure mistakenly thought to be "The Special"—a character prophesized to save the world from an evil LEGO tyrant. Throughout the game, players can harness the awesome power of the Master Builders to construct new extraordinary LEGO creations, while taking on the role of more than 90 playable characters inspired by the film in 15 exciting levels. This is going to be an authentic LEGO experience like never before, with a brand new LEGO visual animation style which simulates the movement and feel of actual LEGO toy sets.
I’ve only ever played the Marvel LEGO game, and I recently put it down, because SKYRIM, but this looks like it could be lots of fun for the casual player and gamers alike as the LEGO games, it seems, are pretty popular and considered fun for the whole family. As Outhouser Brad Thomson said when reached for comment:
LEGO Games, are fun for me because they are not that hard to play and really you can just relax and play a level, collect some coins and move on. Not that much thinking involved.
The LEGO Movie Videogame will be available on all the consoles February with a special edition Technic version exclusively for annoying “PC is better” gamers.
