Sources inside a film studio with the license to produce movies based on a popular superhero franchise exclusively revealed to The Outhouse today that a popular actor was in talks with producers to take on a key role in the upcoming production. According to the sources, the actor is ready to sign on, and it's just a matter of filing out the paperwork.
"The actor is probably going to sign a three or four picture deal with the studio," the sources confirmed, "which could see the franchise spin off into a solo movie for the character."
Sources also revealed various plot points from the upcoming script, which will draw heavily from the beloved comic book source material. "This adaptation is going to stay very faithful to the classic storyline penned by a respected writer in the seventies or eighties," the sources promised.
At one point, several other actors were considered to be on the short list for the role, including at least one who is black, but sources tell us the studio made the decision to go with the popular actor because of his experience in several other successful films and their faith in his ability to perform well at the box office.
The sources admitted that they had at one time considered leaking the exclusive news exclusively to another site, such as Latino-Review or THR, but ultimately went with The Outhouse because we rule, citing the fact that El Mayimbe is a total assclown on Twitter as a secondary reason.
"We're very pleased to exclusively reveal this news," said Outhouse Editor in Chief Christian Hoffer, "and we'll definitely reveal more details as soon other sites confirm a casting that fits well with this story so that we can claim we got the scoop on it."
At press time, Hoffer was overheard ordering ace reporter Jude Terror to make sure that numerous words in the article were highlighted with bold typeface to ensure that people understand how important this exclusive, breaking story is.
