Totally Not Funny Preview of Deadpool vs. Carnage

Totally Not Funny Preview of Deadpool vs. Carnage

We're playing this one straight folks.

Source: Press Release

Jude Terror has finally lost it. He doesn't have any more jokes. He's run out of steam, and has absolutely nothing funny to say about a preview of Deadpool vs. Carnage, a new series coming out this April from Cullen Bunn and Salva Espin. These are not things anyone will be saying after reading this article, because they're definitely not true.

The fact is, I've got plenty of jokes to make about Deadpool vs. Carnage. I'm simply choosing not to. Oh, I'm sure you would all laugh and laugh and laugh if you read the great jokes I've come up with for this one, but the fact is, I've decided to play this one completely straight, and tell you about how the series will show Deadpool and Carnage facing off in a battle for the ages instead.

"In this series, Carnage is embarking on a wild, random killing spree. The authorities can't predict his next move, so they can't track him. But Deadpool discovers that he's able to foresee what Carnage is going to do next," said Bunn in an interview on Marvel.com. That's right a real interview, not made up quotes about Joe Quesada fucking a donkey. No jokes here whatsoever. "They're on similar wavelengths of crazy. In a sense, Deadpool is the only person capable of taking Carnage down."

Once again, I just want to be sure that readers understand I could have been funny during this article, if I had wanted to. I mean, it's not like it's just been a really slow couple of weeks with the holidays and I'm desperate to write something, but there's just nothing funny happening. You might be tempted to believe that I sat around all day yesterday, trying to come up with something funny to say about this, failed, and said fuck it, I'll just babble about that for a few paragraphs and call it a day. It's a Friday after a mid-week holiday, and I don't really need to get back into the swing of things until next week.

That's not what happened. There are several totally hilarious angles from which I could approach this. But I'm not. Okay?

Look for this limited series from Marvel in April.

Here's the press release:

Chaos Unleashed in DEADPOOL VS. CARNAGE #1!

This April, the Marvel Universe’s two craziest psychos go toe-to-toe in bombastic DEADPOOL VS. CARNAGE #1 – from blockbuster writer Cullen Bunn and red-hot artist Salva Espin! And you better believe it’s gonna be bloody!

Carnage is on the warpath – moving across country, butchering as he goes! The authorities are powerless to stop the symbiote suited psycho’s random killing spree! And they have no idea where the blood soaked murderer will end up next!

So…how do you stop a madman? You bring in another madman!

“Cullen has been delivering some awesome Deadpool action with Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, …Killustrated, …Kills Deadpool, and now Night of the Living Deadpool, we knew he was just the man to give us the ultimate showdown of Marvel psychos, says Editor Jordan D. White. “And I would be hard-pressed to find an artist who loves drawing ’Pool more than Salva does! He brings so much joy and energy to every page. We knew these boys were good at depicting lowercase ‘c’ carnage…but wait till you see them tackle capital ‘C’ Carnage!”

“This is definitely a tale of hot pursuit, so we see Deadpool and Carnage squaring off against each other in a variety of locales,” said writer Cullen Bunn, in an interview with Marvel.com. “They’re on similar wavelengths of crazy. In a sense, Deadpool is the only person capable of taking Carnage down.”

That’s right – two red-suited maniacs for the price of one! After all, it takes one to know one, right? Don’t miss the blood-soaked chaos this April as the Merc with a Mouth sets his sights on the Serial Killer with a Symbiote when DEADPOOL VS. CARNAGE #1 hits stores and digital devices this April!
