Dan Slott Said To Watch Out for Spider-Man Spoilers, So Watch Out - Here They Are!

It's only alright to spoil upcoming story-lines when you do it through an exclusive to a mainstream outlet.

Source: New York Daily News

Do I need to say this again?  Spoilers are here people.

Really, that's all the warning I'm giving you, spoiler was in the title...

Remember that picture that leaked out earlier this week of a Superior Spider-man Preview that Marvel had every major website pull down (except us, because we aren't "major" I guess - which is why you can still see it here).  We did create an artist's representation for other sites to use that had to take the image down, but it doesn't seem like anyone took us up on the offer.

Anyway, here are the spoilers Slott promised you this weekend, courtesy of New York Daily News:

Thirteen months after Spider-Man’s alter-ego was fatally squashed in the pages of his comic book, Peter Parker is about to make a miraculous recovery.

The nerdy Queens-born super hero had gone out losing to the nefarious Dr. Octopus — who trapped his arch-enemy’s mind in his own dying body just in time for him to croak. Doc Ock, aka Otto Octavius, survived in Parker’s body to take up the mantle of Spider-Man with no one else the wiser.

He also said that lying to fans was the hardest thing he had to do, but I'm not buying it: look small children in the eye at a convention and lie to them.  One of them with an honest-to-God Little League uniform and a quivering lip. Inside, part of me was dying.

Look Dan - just because I was wearing my Little League cosplay to comic-con, does not mean I'm a child!   And he says part of him was dying, but when he leaned over to comfort me as my lip quivered and a tear streamed down my face, he collected my tear in a vial and giggled.

Granted, everyone knew Peter would return eventually to the suit... or skin-suit as it may be, but Slott does warn it won't be that simple.

there’s a twist. There’s always a twist.

EDIT:  Apparently, because of the late time, we writers were not coordinating our tasks thinking we were the lone workers on the site and posted two of the same article.  But on the Outhouse, reporting news is never the same by one author as another, so check out Jude's article HERE, even though mine was technically up first by like two minutes.

Jeremy was born in a small mountain village of a strange foreign land called Weystvurginea.  Banishment for liberal views saw him spend years wondering the east coast until he decided to bike to California.  When he saw how long a trip it was, he drove instead.  Now he's living it up in a low humidity climate, sometimes working on his photography and when not, he writes for us covering books (by way of his blog: Reading Realms), gaming, tv, movies, comics, conventions in the SoCal area, and creates a weekly webcomic: A Journey Through Skyrim.  If you look for him offline, start in the L.A. area; online start at: for his profile and all the social networks he's on... or just follow him on twitter, he seems to be on there a lot: @jeremyshane.
