Ed Brubaker Calls Captain America: Winter Soldier Best Movie Marvel Has Ever Made

The man who wrote the stories that the movie is based on offers his completely objective opinion.

IGN has an interview with Ed Brubaker about his exclusive deal with Image Comics, announced at the Image Expo, and while it's a good read if you want to hear more about his upcoming plans, the real gem comes at the end, when Brubaker is asked his thoughts on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the upcoming Marvel movie based on part of Brubaker's acclaimed Captain America comics run.

"It's the best movie that Marvel has ever made," Brubaker responded in a quote we swear to god we didn't make up, going on to claim that the movie would make "a billion dollars."

No, seriously:

IGN: This is where we part ways, but before I let you go, what do you think of the Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie coming up?

Brubaker: It's the best movie that Marvel has ever made. The stuff I've seen from it, it also has two of the best fight scenes that I've ever seen on film.

IGN: Really, no kidding?

Brubaker: No, it's going to be amazing. It's gonna make a billion dollars. I got to go and be on set for awhile and watch them film and stuff. It was just amazing. I couldn't be happier with how it came out. Yeah, I can't wait for the premiere. I hope to get to actually talk to Robert Redford at it -- I got to shake his hand, but I didn't get to actually talk to him. He's like an honorary Brubaker, because my whole life people have come up to me like, "Oh, like the Robert Redford movie!"

In related news, this is the best article I've ever written, and it will probably get a skillion unique hits. So tweet this shit, yo.
