IDW Shocker: Megatron Joins Autobots

In the wake of "Dark Cybertron", Megatron will be joining a new side.. the Autobots?!

Not to be outdone with Lex Luthor joining the Justice League, (though after Man of Steel, can you blame DC for making the correct adjustment with Lex Luthor being the hero and that evil neck-snapping murderous genocidial Kryptonian the bad guy?) now IDW has announced that Megatron is joining the Autobots. Not a joke or hoax. The former Decepticon leader will be joining the Lost Light crew in Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye #28. Here's the solitatation and cover:

This reporter is just shaken to the core. Obviously this blame lies fully on Spider-Man writer Dan Slott for opening the Pandora's Box of crafting Superior Spider-Man aka Doc Ock. Who will we see next who was once a hardcore villain turned good? Nah they wouldn't ever turn the Red Skull, Cobra Commander, Apocalypse, Ultron, the Joker, Zoom, Darkseid, Hobgoblin, and Mephisto GOOD would they?  Or could turning this Megatron bring about IDW ushering another Megatron, a BEASTLY one at that, yeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssss?

Thankfully, there's still Superior Foes of Spider-Man which has a cast of bad guys acting like bad guys and it's a pretty damn good book like Transformers: Robots in Disguise and Superior Spider-Man. So go read those.
