More Rumors on Affleck's Batsuit

The latest gossip on the duds Ben Affleck will be sporting when he takes on Superman.

It seems like one of the most interesting things about Batman vs Superman will be what the new batsuit looks like.  From the early days, movie Batman has always dressed in black, afraid of the "comic book look" of color, even if that color is black, gray, and/or dark blue.  Even the X-Men have been afraid to go there, but thanks to Spider-Man, Marvel's various Avengers movies, and now Man of Steel, movie-makers are starting to get the hang of bringing colorful comic book costumes to life.

Although the Batsuit Ben Affleck will wear has been talked about before, Latino Review has a bit more on it.  They say most talk they are hearing about the suit confirms that it will have the gray-and-blue look, they also say there will be more than one suit in the movie.

The more interesting thing I’ve heard is that Batman will actually wear 2 batsuits in the film, but where as Grey-and-Blue has already been designed and Affleck has worn it, the second Batsuit is more armored like the one in the Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come comics.

Now, onto the second suit, this rumor goes deeper into the rumor territory (as in, less sources on it and due to the secretive nature around the movie harder to confirm), and definitely diverges a bit from the typical designs we've seen for Batman.

According to the source, the plating is silver/white. The plates are attached to a black undercloth. The plates doesn’t cover his entire body. We see the black undercloth at the joints. Supposedly, it looks incredible. Equally, or maybe even better-looking than the other suit and it’s leagues above and beyond Bale’s suit from what I’m told.

Again, it's important to remember that this should all be taken as rumor for now.  Though we seem to increasingly hear about a blue/gray or black/gray Batsuit - which could be a nice change.  They also expect that we may get an official look at the new costume around February or March.

In keeping with the "it's just rumor" here is the rundown on the actual facts for Batman vs Superman.

The Facts so Far on Man of Steel 2

•  Henry Cavill and Amy Adams will return for the sequel (along with Diane Lane and Lawrence FIshburne), Snyder is returning to direct.

•  Ben Affleck has been cast as Batman

•  Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman + (has signed 3 picture deal)

•  There is no official title yet despite Warners registering several

•  Argo writer Chris Terrio polishing final draft of David Goyer's script

Man of Steel 2 Delayed for Ten Months

And that's really it so far.  News about The Rock's deal with WB is not connected to Man of Steel 2 yet, and news about the Lex Luthor being in the movie is probably accurate but not officially confirmed.  If you want to look at all the crazy rumors floating around about this movie so far, just take a look at the rundown here.
