What if I told you Lawrence Fishburne was reprising the role of Morpheus for a Super Bowl commercial? Kia is introducing its new luxury sedan, the K900 in a 30-second commercial to air during Super Bowl XLVIII. The South Korean automaker has tapped the star of The Matrix Trilogy to provide the voice over the the new vehicle, the company’s first entry in the luxury sedan market.

Kia released a 16-second trailer for the commercial, featuring Fishburne in a takeoff of one of the more famous scenes in The Matrix, along with a announcement on the company’s Twitter timeline.

The Super Bowl commercial will be different from the quirky Kia ads featuring the company’s animated Hamsters or Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin. Which is a shame because an ad featuring Griffin as Neo fighting a group of Agent Smith-like Hamsters is curiously intriguing.
