Rumor: B.J. Novak is Alistair Smythe in Amazing Spider-Man 2

Answering complaints that the movie doesn't have enough villains,the Office star reportedly joins the cast.

Electro. Rhino. Green Goblin. While all great characters, it's pretty clear to all comic book fans that none are strong enough to carry a movie on their own. That's probably why B.J. Novak is reportedly being added to the cast to play Alistair Smythe, the Spider Slayer, at least according to a tweet from director Marc Webb that is being reported pretty much everywhere as a casting announcement.

 

 

 

 

Because if Batman and Robin taught us anything, it's that you can never have too many villains in a superhero flick.
