After finding success with shows like The Walking Dead, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad, AMC looks to be expanding out into the televangelism market, as the network has announced a new show in development called Preacher, according to The Hollywood Reporter. While it seems odd to require writers like Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for a televangelist program, we have to trust AMC's judgement because of their track... what's that? Not a televangelist show. Garth Ennis? Oooooooh!
Readers, I apologize. I've been told that AMC is actually adapting Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's Vertigo Comics series, Preacher. I must have been confused because I was wondering why THR would report a story we all knew about back in November as something new. My bad. I just... what's that? Oh. Oh yeah, that makes sense.
I apologize again. It turns out the answer to my question is obviously "for the unique hits."
