Bleeding Cool is reporting that DC Comics has canceled All Star Western, one of the last vestiges of DC's attempt to diversify their genres at the start of the Nu52. Along with Wonder Woman, which is being taken over by the Finch family, All Star Western is one of the books I've heard most frequently referenced as "the only Nu52 book I still read" by a lot of readers on the internet, though someone must be buying a lot of copies of DC's shittier books, since they seem to go on forever no matter what amount of Scott Lobdell writing is applied to them. DC also announced the return of the 3Dnado today, causing a reset of the Has DC Done Something Stupid Today counter. It looks like DC's winter hibernation may be coming to an end and a new season of stupidity is beginning. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: Intrepid Beat reporter Steve Morris, in a continuing attempt to undermine the credibility of The Outhouse, posted a link in the comments to a tweet by alleged DC publicity rep Brandy Phillips denying accusations that All Star Western has been canceled:
Despite rumors posted online today ALL STAR WESTERN has not been cancelled.— Brandy Phillips (@BrandyxPhillips) February 27, 2014
Attempting to pay it forward, I tried visiting the comments for the original Bleeding Cool article to undermine Rich Johnston's credibility, but no forum thread exists for the article. Is this a conspiracy? Are Johnston and Morris in cahoots? Does this have anything to do with the massive flood of
Scott Lobdell comics sewage in South London today? Stay tuned to The Outhouse for more of... whatever this is.
