Ten years since he closed the book on the DC Animated Universe with Justice League Unlimited, Bruce Timm is opening it one more time with Batman: Strange Days. The black and white animated short appears to be an adaptation of the early Batman story (from Batman #1 to be more specific) involving the Dark Knight taking on Hugo Strange and his Monster Men. Comics Alliance was the first to get their hands on screen-caps from the short:
You won't have to wait long for the animated short, which will debut on Cartoon Network on Wednesday, April 9th (yes, it'll shown right after Teen Titans Go! at it's new time of 6:30 EST, and surprisingly not alongside its CGI-animated opposite and currently M.I.A. Beware the Batman). As for the second confirmed Batman animated short by Timm based on his previous work on Batman Beyond, no word yet when that'll premiere. When it does, we'll tell you about it.
