Unless you're some douchebag who uses ad-blocking technology to block the ads on small, independent websites that barely eek out enough cash to pay their server bills, you've probably seen the ad banners on this site for Thaniel, a new book from OSSM Comics that's in stores today. Now, ol' Jude Terror doesn't work for CBR, so I'm not going to verbally fellate OSSM Comics (though truth be told, they seem like cool peeps) just because they gave us money. Instead, I'm just going to tell you that you should give it a look in the store and consider trying out a new comic with a fresh concept that isn't about a character created 80 years ago by some legendary creator who probably died in the poor house after being screwed out of his creation by a multinational media conglomerate in the days before anyone understood the whole work for hire concept. In other words, I think our readership is open to supporting independent comics, and since this particular independent comic has supported The Outhouse, I'm encouraging you to give it a shot.
COULD YOU DO ANY LESS?!
Luke Anthony wrote up an (unbiased - we swear) review if you want to know more about it, and you can also learn more at Thaniel's website by clicking the ad at the top of the page. Bleeding Cool did a big profile on the book too, and we're pretty sure they weren't paid anything, but then again Uncle Rich is much slicker than us, so you never know.
If you check Thaniel out, we'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Throughout the universe there is one constant; everything dies. Growing up on the streets, losing everyone closest to him, Thaniel knows this harsh reality all too well. Born with a mysterious power that he’s struggling to control, Thaniel begins to wonder if those he loves are gone because of him.
