DC has announced Grayson, a new series starring former Robin/current Nightwing Dick Grayson written by Tim Seeley and former CIA counterterrorism officer Tom King, with artwork by Mikel Janin. Grayson will see its title character join the spy agency Spyral at Batman's bequest to become a superspy, while the rest of the world thinks he's dead.
Seeley and King not only plan on incorporating King's experiences in the intelligence agency into Grayson, they also plan on using Grayson's status as a sex symbol in the series as well. Seeley also plans on giving Grayson his own "Joker" character, noting the character has never really had an arch-nemesis of his own. Grayson will also be getting a new maskless costume, designed by Janin.
I'm trying to find something witty or clever to say about the book, but honestly I think it sounds pretty interesting. If anything, I think it's cool that we'll be having a spy write a spy book, even if it's a spy book that stars Batman's first sidekick.
