After years of boring covers and shiny codpieces, the superstar artist remembered that he has talent.
Source: EXCLUSIVE: ALEX ROSS CHANNELS "HULK" HISTORY IN "SAVAGE" VARIANT COVER
We’re not exactly sure how, but CBR scored another exclusive yesterday with the reveal of Alex Ross’ The Savage Hulk #1 variant cover. CBR doesn’t mention what the ratio will be for this cover, but you can assume that it will cost you at least $25 at your local comic book store. But, more importantly, Alex Ross seems to have remembered what brought him to the dance to begin with:
Fucking A, that is gorgeous! Especially when compared to this Greg Land inspired cover for Uncanny X-Men #500:
Or whatever this was:
All snark aside, I hope that Marvel offers this as a poster down the line, I’d buy it.
Following the similarly structured "Savage Wolverine," "Savage Hulk" is an anthology series featuring rotating creative teams telling stories separate of current storylines. The book starts with an arc written and illustrated by Alan Davis, followed by an installment from Jim Starlin. "Savage Hulk" #1 is scheduled for release on June 25.

About the Author - GHERU
RU, or as he’s known in the writers’ room: the cute one, is relatively unappreciated in his time. RU’s YouTube show, RUviews is watched by literally multiple people every month and his Outhouse articles have helped line many a bird cage. Before you send RU a message, he knows that there are misspelled words in this article, and probably in this bio he was asked to write. RU wants everyone to know that after 25+ years of collecting he still loves comic books and can’t believe how seriously fanboys take them. RU lives in Akron Ohio (unfortunately) with WIFE, ‘lilRuRu, and the @DogGodThor. You can also find him on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, & even Google+ (if anyone still uses that).
