Previews has debuted the first official image for the upcoming Marvel event Axis, drawn by Jim Cheung. The event series will be written by Rick Remender. While Marvel is staying mum on details about the series, one source told the Outhouse that it will feature Red Skull and a group of villains infiltrating a Broadway musical and spraying the audience with a special body spray tainted with hobo piss that turns people into racially insensitive nincompoops. When the Uncanny Avengers try to stop the heroes, Captain America will suddenly realize that he's actually okay with fascism (as depicted in every other Marvel event comic over the last five years) and become the greatest Marvel villain the world has ever seen.
We don't know if that's true or not, but as the image features Green Goblin with the lithe body of a dancer, Loki is still in his sexy manboy form, Sabretooth wearing what appears to be makeup from the musical Cats, and Carnage wearing what appears to be his his Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark musical costume, so we can safely say that nothing's off the table.
