A major comic publisher released a promotional image drawn by a popular artist teasing several unrelated superheroes teaming up to stop a major threat in an upcoming comic book event.  "This event is so big, several of our superheroes will have to interact with each other in order to stop it," said a company executive about the image.  "Obviously, fans should be excited because this specific combination of heroes has never been used before."

"Yes, I really think that fans will enjoy the interactions between this random group of characters," said the writer of the major event.  "Especially the interactions between a fan favorite character and a less popular hero whom we'll be focusing on throughout the event."  The writer promised that these particular heroes were gathered together for a specific reason, which would be revealed in an early issue of the event miniseries.  "Oh ho, there is certainly a reason why these specific heroes are teaming up."

"I'm really looking forward to the writer delving into this lesser known hero in particular," said the company executive.  "And I think this event will probably help fans be interested in a spinoff series featuring that character...providing that they survive the event, of course."

Early fan reaction was cautiously positive about the image.  "I really hope that the writer remembers that two of these characters actually interacted before in a past comic from thirty years ago, and builds upon that relationship in his comic," said one fan.

While no further details were given about the event, the executive and writer promised that more details would become available, either at an upcoming convention, or via an EXCLUSIVE interview/announcement with a mainstream media outlet.
