So far, the promotional material for Disney's animated take on Marvel's Big Hero 6 (BH6) focused on the main characters of Hiro Hamada and his robot Baymax. During the premiere of the short fronting Big Hero 6 (which included previews for Big Hero 6 and Pixar's Inside Out) at the Annecy Film Festival, some promotional artwork was on display at the festival location for BH6. And thanks to the internet, we get a glimpse of what the other 4 characters on the team will look like. And it's… different.
Now, it's not to say that the look of the BH6 characters have never changed. Hiro (Takachiho in the comic) looked more… ethnic originally, and Baymax looked like a dragon. However, none of these Disney-fied designs look much like either of those. The designs are different enough, that I am just really guessing at the identity of some of them. Let's just take a look, shall we?
Here's Hiro and Baymax from the movie:
Hiro Hamada & Baymax (movie version)
It looks like Hiro has been watching a bit too much Bubblegum Crisis anime. Here's the closes image I could find of Hiro, wearing a tech suit (not normally how he is portryed):
Hiro Takachiho (comic version)
And his robot pal Baymax in his current form:

Now, the guessing begins. I believe the next image is Wasabi No-Ginger, Hiro, and (another guess) Go Go Tomago from the movie:
Wasabi No-Ginger?, Hiro, Go Go Tomago?
Here's comic Wasabi No-Ginger:
And comic Go Go's current form:

Though it's possible they are basing the movie design more on the original design:

Finally, here are (guessing again) Honey Lemon and Fredzilla:
Honey Lemon? and Fredzilla?
Here's the current look of Honey Lemon in the comics:

Finally comic Fredzilla:

So that's it. Of course a good animated movie is more than just character design. What do you readers think?
