Source: Avengers, X-Men see Red in Marvel's 'AXIS' event
Something got changed in the the promotion Marvel's latest event, Axis, though, honestly, this reporter doesn't at all mind the sudden move. Here's the cover of Diamond Previews' Axis cover:
Today, USA Today shows the same cover, but with a sudden color and name change on the Green Goblin (aka Norman Osborn):
The large ensemble cast also includes Cap, Thor, Luke Cage, Storm, Deadpool, the Inhumans' Medusa, Havok, Kid Apocalypse and Quentin Quire on the Avengers/X-Men side. Doctor Doom, Enchantress, Absorbing Man, Carnage, Hobgoblin and Sabretooth come to the fore among the antagonists.
Still kind of lacking with the hood:
But I'll take it! Wait I mean *ahem* So what changed? It's more than likely due to what happened to the Green Goblin in Superior Spider-Man #31 along with Dan Slott and PAD having plans for old "Stormin'" Norman for Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 books. Of course, you could also blame me, as the worlds biggest and most insane Hobgoblin fanatic, but I am fully innocent and, though I cannot divulge my whereabouts today, I insist I'm innocent. I did not give Marvel money or favors, neither journalistic nor sexual, to replace one goblin with another. Still.... VICTORY!!!!
[Editor's note: Bleeding Cool first noticed the change, as Jude Terror pointed out in his article that he would also like to post out was posted first and is therefore more legitimate than this one, by the rule of internet law.]
