Source: Roll out with the Transformers
Shortly before the premiere of Transformers: Age of Extinction, rideshare company Uber is promoting a pick up from Optimus Prime in three US cities (what a coincidence in timing!). To do so will require downloading Uber's app and set up a location so you can "roll out".
If you are lucky enough (Uber says you may need to try multiple times), Optimus Prime will pick you up in his new body, a modified Western Star (not the Peterbilt 379 from the previous movies, or the real Optimus Prime: a Kenworth K100 cab over truck) with the same gaudy blue body and red flames from the previous flicks. You'll get 15 minutes pretending to be Shia LaBeouf or Mark Wahlberg for doing this.
"Optimus" will be in Dallas, Texas June 16th; Phoenix, Arizona June 19th; and Los Angeles, California June 21st from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Transformers: Age of Extinction crashes into theaters June 27, 2014.
If you are one of the chosen ones to get a ride, let us know!
This reporter knows one entity that will be trying… Often.
*Note: It's unlikely this promotional event will have transforming, just rolling out.
