Poster for Genndy Tartakovsky’s 'Popeye' Movie

The movie hasn't even been green-lighted for production, yet here's the first image from Tartakovsky's dream project.

We've had G.I. Joe 3 from the Licensing Expo from Las Vegas and now we have our first look look at Popeye from Genndy Tartakovsky (Hotel Transylvania, Sym-Bionic Titan, Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab) via Film Divider. This is the closest we got to actual confirmation on the project given it still hasn't been officially greenlit and Tartakovsky is currently working on Hotel Transylvania 2.

Still here's the image in all it's glory (again courtesy of Film Divider):

The image was created by Richard Daskas and not much else has been done on the project save some prelimary CG and a release date of 2016. If there's any more information, we'll keep you in the loop.
