Will These Villains Be Double Crossing Ant-Man?

Rumors about who will bug Ant-Man in the upcoming feature film…

Source: Ant-Man's Villains Revealed?

Finally some good news for Marvel's beleaguered Ant-Man film, at least rumored news that isn't about problems with the movie. It's not that great news for Ant-Man though. Word on the web says that the main foe for Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) will be Darren Agonistes Cross, founder of Cross Technological Enterprises (CTE). The rumors say that unlike in the comics where Cross' experimental pacemaker gave him monstrous proportions and strength, the movie version will have him wearing a suit similar to Ant-Man's. Not only will Ant-Man be facing one Cross, but he we will also see Darren Cross' cousin, William Cross -- better known in the comics as the cybernetically enhanced mercenary Crossfire. It's being proposed that Darren Cross will be played by Corey Stoll (House of Cards), while William Cross will be played by Patrick Wilson (Watchmen). Both actors have been previously associated with the Ant-Man film in undisclosed roles.

If true, then the movie may show it's comic's roots in the origin of the Scott Lang version of Ant-Man (which would be appropriate in this case) from Marvel Premiere #47 & 48. The story pits Lang facing against Darren Cross to save his daughter Cassie. In the animated version of this tale ("To Catch An Ant-Man"), Scott Lang was associated with a super-villain gang run by Crossfire.

We'll find out for sure when Ant-Man infests theaters July 17, 2015 (unless of course it gets delayed).
