Source: BOB KANE TO RECEIVE POSTHUMOUS STAR ON HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME
CBR announced yesterday that Variety reported that Bob Kane, the (co) creator of someone named “Batman” (I hope I’m pronouncing that correctly,) would be reviving a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2015, just proving that the star is just another worthless “honor” handed out to whomever can afford it, regardless of any actual cultural impact:
According to Variety, Batman co-creator Bob Kane is among the 30 honorees selected to receive a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2015. Kane, who died in 1998 and is credited by DC Comics and Warner Bros. as the sole creator of Batman, will receive one of two posthumous stars on the Walk of Fame -- the other will go to screenwriter and novelist Raymond Chandler.
Mr. Kane, will posthumously have his name etched into a piece of concrete on or near Hollywood Blvd, an honor normally reserved for illustrious people such as Paula Abdul, Nicolas Cage, and Ilka Chase. Kane, along with some yahoo named Raymond Chandler, receiving a star on the Hollywood walk of fame is not the first step in the decline of this formally illustrious honor, that honor goes to Vin Diesel, but they do represent all that is wrong in Hollywood. We can only hope that someday this “Batman” character becomes a big enough cultural reference to retroactively justify this action.

RU, or as he’s known in the writers’ room: the cute one, is relatively unappreciated in his time. RU’s YouTube show, RUviews is watched by literally multiple people every month and his Outhouse articles have helped line many a bird cage. Before you send RU a message, he knows that there are misspelled words in this article, and probably in this bio he was asked to write. RU wants everyone to know that after 25+ years of collecting he still loves comic books and can’t believe how seriously fanboys take them. RU lives in Akron Ohio (unfortunately) with WIFE, ‘lilRuRu, and the @DogGodThor. You can also find him on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, & even Google+ (if anyone still uses that).
