'Legend of Korra' Book 3 to Premiere June 27!!!

The series is coming back A LOT sooner than expected - like in SEVEN DAYS!!!

Source: Exclusive The Legend of Korra: Book Three Premiere Date Announcement and Clip

Well, that was quick.

What started originally with five episodes leaked early and, shortly thereafter, the trailer to Legend of Korra Book 3: Change, comes to a conclusion with the long-awaited Book 3 debut date! It was to be expected that the show would be premiering soon. and a rumored date was bouncing around all around the net today. That appears not to have been incorrect though, as IGN got the official confirmation that the show will be returning NEXT Friday at 6 pm (EST).

Not only that, but Nickelodeon will be airing THREE episodes from the new season on that night. As for the reason why Nick is airing three episodes back-to-back-to-back, IGN says it's due to the Fourth of July holiday when the show won't be airing a new episode. Instead, it'll return the following week with a brand new episode at it's regular Friday night time-slot at 8 pm (EST).

IGN also has the official descriptions of two of the episodes and here they are:

“A Breath of Fresh Air”: After the events of Harmonic Convergence, Avatar Korra discovers that her decision to leave the spirit portals open has unexpected consequences. Wild spirit vines have overgrown Republic City and Airbenders are suddenly popping up across the four nations.

“Rebirth of a Nation”: Korra, Tenzin and Team Avatar search for new Airbenders in an effort to recruit them and rebuild the Air Nation. Meanwhile, a band of sinister criminals are organizing to hunt down the Avatar themselves.

I would post the third, "The Earth Queen", but I'm just guessing that every fan knows what happens in that particular episode already. Besides the synopsis for the episodes, IGN also has this preview clip as well from the season premiere (that also kind of spoils what happened at the end of Book 2. ... DAMMIT I DIDN'T SEE THE END TO IT!!! CURSES!!!!!:

Add to that the fact that Nick.com just posted all the episodes of Book 1 and 2 online. Well, it seems pretty good to be a Korra fan right now.

Oh, and this is where I take my rightful place back as reporting cartoon news back from fellow OH uspur reporter Jude Terror. He's not online right now and so I get to post this before he does. So once again I ZECHS ONCE AGAIN ATTAIN MY RIGHTFUL PLACE ON THE SITE AS THIS SITE'S CARTOON REPORTER!!!
