CBR posted a variant cover for Rocket Raccoon #2, the 300,000 copy selling smash hit comic that hasn't been released yet. The cover is drawn by Stan Sakai, creator of Usagi Yojimbo and friend of The Outhouse. The theme of the cover is simple: Rocket Raccoon shoots dinosaurs with a blaster gun. Yes, it is as incredible as you imagine. But we were disappointed to learn that it is also a CBR EXCLUSIVE. That means we can't post it here. You see, exclusive content constitutes a sacred bond between publisher and media outlet. It's been that way since the dawn of time. When a publisher and a media outlet love each other very much, the publisher puts its early access to press releases and talent interviews inside the media outlet's verbally fellating fluff articles, and the two become as one. The Outhouse would never violate the sanctity of this...
Sorry, I can't keep a straight face. Have a gander at this gorgeous cover, and try to ignore the ugly yellow watermark at the bottom:
The Outhouse is sponsored this week by Late Nite Draw. Recently featured on ComicsAlliances' Best Art Ever, he is a Chicago-based commissioned artist with a self-published Digital+Print one-shot coming out in October about the abominable snowman called ABOBAMANIMABBLE, and is also available for commissions.
