Scott McCloud is one of the big time cartoonists I know next to nothing about. However, I do know that when he releases new content, it's a big deal. Today, First Second released (via USA Today) the cover for the upcoming graphic novel The Sculptor. The Sculptor is about a young yet somehow washed up artist named David who makes a Faustian deal with the devil in order to get his sculpting mojo back. Of course, he then falls in love and realizes he doesn't necessarily want to cash in his soul for fleeting fame afterall.
This is McCloud's first fiction work in a number of years, and I'm sure people will be talking about it a lot next winter. For now, here's the cover to keep all you Scott McCloud fans sated.
