Marvel sent out a press release yesterday announcing a new Infinite Comics from writers Rob Williams and Judy Blume along with artists Paco Diaz, Iban Coello, and Neil Edwards titled "Are You There God? It's Me Thanos." Launching on Tuesday, the book will see the Mad Titan deal with issues like getting his first period, buying his first bra, and exploring his religious identity. The comic will be set in the aftermath of Infinity, though it appears it will be a drastic departure in tone.
"We're really excited to see Thanos realize his full potential as a character by helping young girls come to terms with puberty," explained Marvel Editor in Chief Axel Alonso in a statement that we're not sure whether to consider creepy. "It's a difficult subject that only a genocidal space despot is equipped to properly handle, in our opinion."
All six issues will be available for purchase right away, which makes us wonder why it's not just released as a single comic (answer: $$$$). Check it out on the Marvel Digital Comics App on July 1. Here's the press release, which we just kinda skimmed over before writing this article, though we're sure we got everything right:
