UDON to Produce Manga Classics - Pride and Prejudice and Les Miserables

If you liked Classics Illustrated but wish they were more sexually arousing, this is the announcement you've been waiting for!

Source: Press Release

I dreamed a dream in time gone byyyy
Of cartoon teens in clothes, revealing
I dreamed my boner would never diiiiiieeeee
I dreamed the law would be forgiving

It looks like dreams do come true, as UDON Entertainment has just announced a new series of manga style graphic novels based on classic works of literature, called Manga Classics. If you were a fan of the old Classics Illustrated, but wish the books would have featured more underage characters in explicit sexual situations, then a manga take on the concept is exactly what you've been waiting for!

The books will come in both "soft" and "hard" cover editions, but we have a feeling readers are going to prefer the latter, if you know what we mean. First up for adaptation are Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and Victor Hugo's Les Miserables. And, to be fair, the artwork looks completely tasteful. We're just ribbing Manga a bit for the recent exemption made in a Japanese child pornography law for manga publishers. But in all honesty, this sounds like a great way to get kids interested in both comics and classic literature, so kudos to you, UDON.

The books are out in August, and they'll be availble in book stores, comic shops, comiXology, and your local sex dungeon.
