I am definitely okay with this casting.
Variety is reporting that True Blood's Deborah Ann Woll will play love interest Karen Page in Netflix's upcoming Daredevil series. Woll has played teen vampire Jessica Hamby since True Blood's first season, and this will be her first major role after the HBO series wraps up this summer. Interestingly, Woll's boyfriend, EJ Scott, is afflicted with a rare condition that is causing him to lose his sight, and Woll has often campaigned besides him to fight the genetic disorder.
In the comics, Karen Page was Matt Murdock's longtime secretary and love interest. She eventually becomes an actress, but becomes addicted to heroin and eventually sells Daredevil's secret identity to her drug dealer in exchange for a fix. She's later killed by Bullseye during Kevin Smith's run in 1999.
Page was previously played by Gray's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo in 2000s movie version of Daredevil.
