Image announced a new fantasy series set in Brandon Graham's "8House" shared universe called "From Under Mountains", by Marian Churchland, Claire Gibson and Sloane Leong. While we've seen an uptick in fantasy comics lately, "From Under Mountains" seems unique in that it features an-all female creative team, a fantasy world with non-European elements (the creators stated in an interview with ComicsAlliance that the world's design draws from North Aftrican and Indian themes), and features a number of non-white characters.
Here's a brief description of the series courtesy of Image:
Set in the isolated country of Akhara, rival houses face off in the struggle for political power and military security. Three unlikely figures — a lord’s daughter, a disgraced knight, and a runaway thief — will change the fate of their world, but the only hope of peace may lie with the mystery shrouded goblins and witches, and the ancient powers they command.
