The Wrap is claiming in an EXCLUSIVE report that seems to contain no actual exclusive information other than speculation that three time Oscar nominee Joaquin Phoenix is up for the role of Doctor Strange in the upcoming Marvel movie. Heartthrob Benedict Cumberbatch was previously rumored for the role, but he dispelled those rumors at San Diego Comic Con yesterday. This is all contained within the first paragraph of a 1000 word article, the rest of which is just random information about Phoenix and Strange. Neither Marvel nor Phoenix have commented on the rumor, but that won't stop every website on the face of the planet (including this one) from reporting on it and reaping the unique hits.
Maybe we should take this time to reflect on our place in the Universe. What is life? What does it all mean? Are we really even alive at all, or can our existence be measured in a series of seemingly random hits on various clickbait articles at Hollywood gossip websites? When it's all over, what's left of our consciousness beyond a comprehensive Google analytics report showing the trends and bounce rates of our souls?
