A tweet from Comics Beat mogul Heidi MacDonald from San Diego Comic Con claims to reveal the name of DC's transitional event. The event has unoficially been known as the Band-Aid, a term coined by Bleeding Cool, and will take place during the period when DC's staff is moving across the country from New York to Burbank. We saw the phrase "Blood Moon" used recently in a Future's End teaser back in April. The title could be related to the Red Skies trope that began in Crisis on Infinite Earths, and the event is expected to coincide with the 30th anniversary of that series. Or, it might be another attempt to capture that Twilight magic with a sexy werewolf series. We really hope that's it.
According to rumors, this event will see the return of the pre-Nu52 (the Festering Wound which the Band-Aid will cover) DC characters, though it will most likely be so they can be used to show how superior the Nu52 characters are, so don't get your hopes up, fanboys!
