The original Harry Potter series of books is over. The final Hobbit movie comes out this December. What's next? What can Warner Bros mine for more material? DC superheroes? Bwhahahaha! (just kidding but DC heroes beyond Batman and Superman are having a more difficult time launching in the movies). Well, Warner Bros exect Drew Crevello may have the answer, the popular science-fiction/fantasy book series The Dragonriders of Pern.

The book series, created by Anne McCaffrey, tells the tale of the Pernese riders and the intelligent dragons they ride to fight the voracious Thread. The series is comprised of some 20+ novels so sequel material will be abundant.
