THR reports that Warner Bros has hired Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad, writers of Gangsta Squad and 300: Rise of an Empire respectively, to write separate scripts for an upcoming Aquaman movie, presumably starring Jason Momoa as the Lord of the Fish or whatever the fuck Aquaman is supposed to be. Khal Drogo has long been rumored to be cast as as the sea-faring hero in Superman v Batman: Clusterfuck of Justice, but we're pretty sure DC just makes this stuff up as it goes along, since it recently announced nine upcoming superhero movies but didn't name a single one of them. Last week, Superman v Batman director Zack Snyder called up a Detroit radio show to defend Aquaman after the hosts made fun of him. Aquaman has a reputation as a lame superhero whose only power is talking to fish, largely because he is a lame superhero whose only power is talking to fish, but Snyder pointed out that he could also stab Superman and is really super badass.
